pacheco possibly going out on loan, this was from Guillem balagues offical site.
A few readers have been in touch with the site asking me to clarify Dani Pacheco’s situation at Liverpool now that he has signed a new contract at Anfield. I recently reported that he was unhappy at not featuring regularly in the Liverpool first team and that he would consider a move away from the club.
I spoke to Dani Pacheco today and he has explained to me that a loan move remains a possibility.
Prior to signing a new deal, it became clear that Pacheco was not getting a great enough playing time at Liverpool and that led to the player almost leaving the club. As a youngster who qualified as a ‘home-grown’ talent, the club went out of their way to tie him down to a deal and finally persuaded him to sign a contract that runs until 2014.
Nevertheless, that does not guarantee that Pacheco will stay at Anfield and his priority remains getting regular first team football. By getting him to sign a new deal, the club have avoided the risk of losing him as his previous contract ran down, and have no intention of selling him. However, with continued interest in Pacheco from Spain, a loan move cannot be ruled out.
Speaking to him today, the player has confirmed the above. Pacheco said “I’m delighted to have signed a new deal. I’m being sincere when I say that I see my future here, I’d like it to be so; but in order to get some playing time, and if it suits the club, the best thing would be for me to go out on loan.”
“I had talks with Damien Comolli when signing a new contract and he told me that young players like myself and Martin Kelly are central to his vision for the club.”
“I’m training well and Roy Hodgson is happy with me; he’s seen what I can do in the Europa League. However, we will have to see how things stand in January and if the club are in agreement, then a loan move might be best for everyone,” said the Liverpool forward.
