Yet we’re top of the league by 6 points and European champions for the sixth time. Blinking misers. Have we won it already and if not it will be because of our miser owners. They were lucky to get Klopp which is putting blinkers on a lot of eyes. Hiring Klopp was part of their management. United tried and failed. They've given him the resources he's needed to succeed. Our squad is worth 965 Million pounds, bested only by City's which is 1.15 Billion. United have one of the highest net spends in the league, but their squad is only worth 678 Million. Would you rather us be spending more on the wrong players? We have a process in place that is working. If we were still languishing in 4-5th, I would understand, but why complain now? We're on top of the world right now.

I remember Klopp coming in and talking of perhaps 3 years for a title. And then multiple titles.
European champions. Super cup champions. Next stop who knows but this is a great ride.

They were lucky to get Klopp the same way utd were lucky to get Ferguson, Chelsea to get Mourinho.... It's an unbelievably simplistic view.
All those players signed is largely down to FSG. They are the ones who put the analytics team in place to source these players. Had Klopp gone to utd he would have failed under their owners. He definitely would not have had the success he has had here.

A good manager can win you titles only if he has good/top players but the best manager cannot do the same with crap players, it is as simple. Yes, over one game any team can win, but to do it consistently to win titles, you need a good squad. Otherwise why do you think Real Madrid, Barca and recently have been winning so many titles? How happy would you be to see Lovren on the pitch on Sunday oh clever one?
